Great choice for New Year's eve at the club
« on: November 03, 2003, 05:01:00 pm »
A fun band, great for the occasion in my opinion (seriously).  These guys are fun (saw their first show at the club, thumbs up).  I think 1 or 2 times a year is a great fix.

Am I missing something, or did you forget to mention the band?

for 50 smackers, you'd think it was the real neil diamond playing, not a cover band.

Actually that is a common price for a New Year's eve show.  Think James Brown was $100 when he was there for New Year's Eve.  Part of that cost is just to get anyone to work you have to assume 2x cost (if not more).  So everything goes up in price because who wants to work New Years Eve (I have done it enough).

Oh no, not a "cover" band. Super Diamond is a tribute band.

When, last year he didn't play NYE if I remember correctly it was the 30th.  I was there, but forget the exact date.  Thought it was a few years back he did NYE.  Twangirl will know for sure.

James Brown played 12/30/02, and tix were $50. We've never hosted Mr. Brown on NYE.

Thought so.  And that was a damn fine concert by the man.  He is improving with age again.
