Sitting here with my arm broken in three places just above the elbow from a particularly violent (not cheap though) incident on ice.  As I was spinnging to the ice after it happened, my arm upper are was at my side and my elbow as in the center of my chest.  OUCH!  Anywho, cherish what we have now.  May be a while before we see the game again.  Ihope these guys (both sides) get their shit in a bag and have everythign ironed out soon.  One last thing.  Hockey is an American sport, 4 of the orginal 6 were US teams!  :)

Yeah, what is it with Sundays at Target!?
Is it supposed to be some sort of religious experience or something?

Well if it is, I'll have to make sure I go on other days of the week from now on. Funny thing is, they have about 20 cashiers there and the lines are still ten miles long.

I was wondering when that was coming. Good game. As for the power plays, you have to admit the one at the end of the second period was just wrong. It should have been even strength. Brodeur kept whoever it was in the crease and that dude was pushed into him. It shouldnt have been interference. But the ref's missed it and life goes on. Both teams played great D, Canada's was just a tad bit better that night.

So I'm guessing you would be named captain of the team and even start.

Whoa!!! Canada was just a BIT better? If it wasn't for Robert Esche, the score would have been 10-0 after the first. ESPN had the scoring opportunities at 18-0 before the US scored their first goal. I think the shots on goal at that point were 22-6. Esche was brilliant.

Canada plays Slovakia tonite. The Slovaks have the best D-man in the tournament (Zdeno Charra) and a potent offence with Gaborik, Hossa, and Satan (no, not the 666 guy ;=)). I think the Slovaks will take bronze in the tournament (Swedes silver and Canada gold).
