Another tip about echinacea, you should ONLY use it when you are sick. If you use it regularly as a preventative measure, it doesn't work at all.
Golden Seal is another herb that is good to use too. You can make a tea with it or down it in capsules. Doesn't matter.
Garlic, peppers, and some spices help to burn infections out of your system too. Some of the sweeter peppers, such as ginger, cinnamin, and things like that, will also help to settle your stomach.
Stay away from bulky and fatty foods. You need to flush your system out. If you end up with a lot of mucus, eventually you will want to eat roughage to help scrape the phlegm out of your system.
