For those of you that thought this would be about Duran Duran....

You're right! Smackie got his tickets to see them in OC!

Duran Duran Reunion Tour Dates Announced
The original five members of Duran Duran will play their first shows together in 18 years!

July 16, 2003 -- Pacific Amphitheatre, Costa Mesa, California, USA

Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes, Andy Taylor and Roger Taylor have not played together since the Live Aid show in 1985; Roger left the music business and Andy pursued a solo career while the remaining three continued to record and tour together throughout the '80s and '90s.

The group has recorded an album of new material which will be released early next year.

 See http://www.duranduran.com for details!

The rest of you must wait.  Haha.

Oh what a loser I am.

I'm sure they will shortly be announcing which county fairs they'll be playing this summer.

 Heard the new single?

I'm sure the "Gay Pride Festival" will be on the list.

The Orange County Fair was the first one I heard (but it wasn't listed on the DD web site).  My sister back home told me about it.

Thanks for the single - I had not heard it yet.   It doesn't exactly leave me yearning for an 80's revival.

Very bland and generic. I forgot that it was still playing 45 seconds into it. Thanks, for the link...

Other than the unedited girls on film video, all their stuff is forgetable.

If you want a *good* 80s revival, go see The Sounds open up for The Raveonettes at the Black Cat on Thursday.  What a trip -- it's Kim Wilde backed up by Animotion (in a good way, because it's new and just *fun*)

 Unrepentant 80s new waver,

I have no idea about the ticket situation -- a friend of mine got six tickets 'cuz he started to worry.  He keeps reading about the 'Nettes and think it's going to sell out.

That's what I thought about the Datsuns, and that show was not nearly sold out.  But,that was the 930 Clubm

Though, I will say, they sold out at American University earlier this spring (then again, it was a free show in that cafeteria space -- *smart* college students would go to any free show!).

Studying maybe?

Protesting over something you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about?

That's what college is all about isn't it?

Can I really go home? I'm bored.
