OT question for O'Mankie

Does the British millitary have reserve forces like the US or does it use all full time personnel?

yes, the Territorial Army
 
 and the irish army reserves are called the FCA

How is he wrong? They do have part timers, although they primarily get involved with humanitarian and peace-keeping operations. When you leave the forces you are autmomatically enrolled in the reserves for five years, either active or inactive. Well you were when I left anyway because I had to get an exception because I was moving abroad.
