things to do in chicago?

Any suggestions on things to do in Chicago this weekend?  I'll be going to see New Pornographers at Metro on Fri night, but that's about all I have planned.  Good bars, parks, pizza, sights, etc.?  Staying right downtown by the Navy Pier (fiancee's work is sending her for a conference, not much choice as they picked/paid for the place).  Neither of us have ever been, and not really sure where to start.  Thanks
