A melding of Stone Roses, Led Zep, and Janes? Sounds like it has promise. I was already planning on going based on a friend's recommendation to see Kasabian.

But what the f**k is up with the chinchillas? Are they the hamsters for the new millenium? Lube up!!

they are pets. you keep them in a cage, but they are much bigger than hamsters. so it could be painful!!!!

If you want to stream the whole album, go here:

 http://www.kasabian.co.uk/album/

Not being from DC or the immediate area, how far is DC9 from the 9:30?

Depends on how much you have to drink; feels like two miles drunk; about 1/2 block sober...see you there.  ;)

Or, in after the show language, it's about a stumble, trip and fall from the 9:30's front door.

a really great pairing of bands and a fun show. i think i'm more in the kasabian than the music camp though. as were a lot of the crowd. at least half the crowd left at some point during the music's set well before they had even started the encore. it looked at least 85% full during the kasabian set. the lead singer's vocals for the music were off the entire set-it sounded like i was listening to him from another room. like when you stand in the hallway at the club and listen to the band-distant and muffled.

did all the british university students that are studying in the dc area right now go to the show? they were everywhere!

thatguy was working tonight-bandaged up hand and all, but looking his regular chipper self!

I agree that Kasabian put on a better performance.  They really impressed me.  The Music seemed to be off a bit.  I saw them when they opened for The Vines about a year or so ago, and they were much better.
