Oh man! I saw WITCH last time they came through town. That show cemented my love for Zamrock.

Chi Chi Rodriguez

In reading about him over the last day, I was surprised how relatively unsuccessful he was. Only 8 PGA tour wins. Never sniffed a major. As a child, I was under the impression he was one of the biggest names in golf but I guess it was moreso for his personality/showmanship than his actually golf skills.

HE'S literally a household name in our mini-golf household.

What happened?

Phoenix were fantastic as always and it looked like Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend made an appearance.

Telemondo didn’t do the dirty on Air, but they did cut Funky  Squaredance from their feed.. although as my better  half said the brief appearance of Air doing Playground Love was a bit dull. It was right before Erza joined them.

Charles Cross

The article doesn't mention it but he started Backstreets magazine which was a huge fanzine of Bruce Springsteen starting in the 80's. Huge source of information pre-internet days.

Yes, Wesley Stace aka John Wesley Harding wrote a nice post about Mr. Cross. I wonder how involved if at all he was with the decision to end Backstreets.
