Marianne Faithfull
her role in some of the iconic happenings in the 60s is crazy

In Hickey's 500songs.com podcast (people this is really essential listening if you have not started)

he discusses in detail during the 3 part Sympathy episodes

“You Can’t Always Get What You Want”  was written by Jagger alone without Richards, and according to some sources it was inspired by Marianne Faithfull, and was a plea to her to stop using heroin

then later when Brian Jones dies...

Faithfull looked at her own reflection, with her hair cut in a boyish style for her role in the film, and saw Brian Jones’ face staring back at her. She decided to take her own life, and took a massive overdose of sleeping pills.

Luckily, Jagger discovered her in time, and she eventually made a full recovery, but she spent six days in a coma. When she woke up, Jagger was by her bedside, saying he thought he’d lost her. Her reply was “Wild horses couldn’t drag me away”.

allegedly the inspiration for the lyric
