Nesmith was just at the Warner with Dolenz a month or so ago...

Michael Nesmith
Down to two Monkees and two Beatles. They should merge. 1967 won't know what hit it.

Only Micky Dolenz is left. Davy Jones died in 2012 and Peter Tork died in 2019.
Oh, damn. I missed that Peter Tork news. Sounds like this is a good time for the Beatles to strike while they have them outnumbered.

Paul on bass, Micky and Ringo on drums. Could be a pretty sick trio.
😐 🎶

odd outliers here...as it always seems like the drummers are the first ones to go

I did like Nesmith, Repo Man wouldn't have been the same without him
never really got his due for all his talent

Nesmith was also the heir to the 3M fortune and one of the early creators of what morphed into MTV. Was very instrumental on music videos becoming an art form. He was, by far, the most interesting Monkee.

Pleasant Valley Sunday, Shades of Grey, I Wanna Be Free -- they had some good ones in there in addition to the cornball pop stuff.

For whatever reason I can’t appreciate the Monkees or Nesmiths solo records…not sure why…but it’s obviously my failing

Disagree. It's all just opinion. If you don't like/appreciate it, that's your feeling, not your failing.

Umm "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone
Although original done by PR and the raiders theirs is the seminal version
And famously covered by the Sex Pistols and minor threat (their only recorded cover?)

Last train to Clarksville is great
Weren’t most of their hits written by Neil diamond
