Thanks for the reponses folks - I think I am leaning towards Sunday....
Its definitely a quality act, not necessarily one that you've heard of.
His name is
Dave Couse, and he's one of my favorite artists of the last 15 years. He's solo now, but was in a legendary Irish band called
A House, that have a few fans here on the forum (Pollard - any interest in coming to DC for Labor Day??!!).
Great lyricist and a knack for creating perfect, albeit slightly vitriolic 3 minute pop songs.
Anyway, I'll be spamming the board alot more about this over the coming months but I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend coming to see him.
I am also happy to make sampler CDs for anyone who wants to hear a little more (quite frankly, the songs on the myspace pages are only a tiny slice of his work).
And I'll probably need to get street teamer tips from betty

so you have a representative sample now - care to spill the beans? if it's a quality act, i'd consider changing my travel plans to attend on sunday. if it's some no-name garage band... lemme know how it was, since it won't matter when they're playing. you've definitely got me curious now. [/b]
