Does anybody know how to contact anyone who works at the 930 club? I'm affiliated with Hands on DC(program that raises money to beautify the schools for children of DC) and must contact a 930 worker as soon as possible...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you

You could start by getting rid of the teachers and students.

Hands on DC is a great organization -- full disclosure, I was a Co-Director one year and on the Board of Directors for four (I, in fact, instituted the board with my co-director in 2000).  I also started the softball team in 1998 -- the Renovators!  I"ve made great friends through the group.

It's a one-day work-a-thon on Saturday, May 9, so you can go out and just put in one good Saturday of work and fundraising efforts (by asking for sponsors to donate money for the time you put in that day) to add to lasting impacts and improvements to DC public schools.  ALL the money raised by day of volunteers goes to scholarships for DC public school students heading to college.  Scholarships are distributed through College Bound.

Or, you can get involved now, be a team leader, work on the organization committee, or just go to happy hours and give them your $5 for drink specials and new people.

Join Hands on DC volunteers at our next fundraising happy hour at the Zoo Bar (3000 Connecticut Ave. NW, www.zoobardc.com), from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. Your $5 cover charge supports Hands on DC, earns you drink specials and gives you the chance to win door prizes, including a pair of theater tickets to Round House Theatre. Proceeds go towards the purchase of paint and other supplies needed to fix up DC public schools at our May 7, 2005 work-a-thon. Following our Happy Hour the Zoo Bar will provide live music.

I thought that this thread would be about the latest Michael Crichton thriller...
