Nothing Compares 2 Cold Hard Cash
« on: February 10, 2005, 03:04:00 pm »
I guess retirement wasn't as lucrative or fulfilling as she had anticipated

Singer Sinéad O'Connor has announced that she is returning to her music career.

In an exclusive interview with Hot Press published today, O'Connor, who retired two years ago, said that she is signing a management and record deal with Sanctuary Records.

Hot Press says that O'Connor is working on three records concurrently, though no decision has been made on the projects' sequencing.

"I want to at least aim my records at a more spiritualised market," O'Connor told Hot Press. "Not religious records strictly speaking, but in the spirit of roots/gospel/chant."

This has as much relevance as Axl's "Chinese Democracy"

Sorry if I was harsh. It's been a running arguement/joke between me and some friends.

Oh, now I know why she tore up that picture of the Pope several years ago. She wants his job and is singing her heart and soul out for it now that's it's almost available.

Bitch can go burn in hell for all I care. Bitch turned Shane MacGowan in for drugs. Not that I condone drugs, but you just don't 'dis' St. Shane no matter what.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for The Lion and the Cobra. Esp. "Jerusalem" and "I Want Your Hands on Me".

I hate that album. I cannot find anything redeeming in it at all.

She does a surprisingly nice bluegrass-y Dolly Parton cover on Just Because I'm a Woman: The Songs of Dolly Parton.

Her work on Rick Wright's 96 album "Broken China" is good. Now that's an album for a rainy day.

Bitch was on the late late show on friday, and although seems quite intelligent, completely impossible to understand. During the interview.....her answer to just about every question was "mumble shumble brbbrlbrl, fuck shiggle wummble my kids" The only answer I was able to actually understand was very funny. There is some big deal about an article some prick wrote in one of the papers by calling all children of single parents bastards, and that it's only the lower class having kids to drain more money out of the welfare state. When asked her opinion she replied, "well, apart from the fact he's chromosomally challenged, he's also wrong because I'm middle class and got banged up three times."

The saving grace for the show was that George Best was also interviewed......and he's GOD! Just ask smackie!!!!!

Georgie's been known for his less than lucid moments on TV in the past - how was he?

It's not their best but it's still better than half the stuff that comes out with the same feel to it.
