Shit...you know, I'm too tired for Baltimore, but I think I'm going to get to the Cat for this.

Am I really missing out if I skip the Dirtbombs and just catch the Sights?

Yes.

If you go, go for the whole show.

 Sadly, I can't make it.

Both bands are very good live. You should check out the Dirtbombs if you can. (Any band with two drummers is something to see, I've found.) But if you can't stick around, the Sights alone are worth the price of admission. I'm hoping they have the organ player along this time.

ahhh yes, please go for both bands...the Dirtbombs absolutely tore it up at the Siren Fest this summer...and the Sights are great too.

Alas, I'm typing this during a 10 minute break before I head back into rehearsal...HELL WEEK!

please rock extra hard for me.

You can preview the new album by clicking on the link at the Dirtbombs  homepage. (Link is below the picture.) We are definitely in for a great show.

What's your best guess on times for The Sights, then the 'Bombs.

I'm quite afraid of getting home and completely melting into my couch.  But I'll give it a shot.  If I'm there, I'll be Amoeba girl.   ;)

I'm planning on it.

Here's a review from someone who saw the B'more show:

Saw the show last night as I was in Balitmore. Amazing. It was one of the shows that had an encore, which was actually people wanting more, not bands coming back out because there is some kind of historical precedent about leaving and coming back out. Mick Collins owned the stage. Additionally, they have replaced T. Potter, 2nd bassist, with a PoA asian woman. That is obviously always a keen decision. at least for the live shows. Mick Collins cannot be praised enough. He had more energy that a late 90s drunken Bob Pollard. And the highkicks to match.

The Sights opened. Enjoyable. Guitar, drums, organ. Worth seeing. Had some Deep Purple in there, but also some Oblivians. However, watching them I started to think "How young is too young?"

Great show.  The Dirtbombs ruled and the Sights weren't far behind.  Lots of new stuff from the Dirtbombs which sounded excellent.  The Sights look like they're about 19, but play like they have a decade of practice.  Only caught the tail-end of the Quails set, but it sounded good.

Three great shows in four days.  I'm tired now.
