anything great going on in DC for new years that I should plan to stay in town for?  or should I head to Chicago?

I think I'm going to the Caps game durring the day then hanging out at some friends' house...the massive crowds out on the big party nights (St Patricks Day, New Years, etc) usually annoy the hell out of me.

Wheres the best place to go in DC that night? or best deal?  
 The dc101 party is 140 bucks for all you can drink but of course Im also buying my girls ticket too and she'll only have like 5 drinks.

ditto. i'll be doing something specific that i wont share so it stays low-key and crowdless.
