Sunday, 12/7...damn, I hate that venue. What a shame...I'd really like to see that guy sometime, just not THERE.

I'd rather go there than Nissan.

Do they mention who's the opener for  the tour?

So I was just talking to Lefty about this off the board, who do you think would draw a bigger crowd in the US now, Peter Gabriel or David Bowie?  He seems to think that Bowie could fill MCI, which Gabriel could not do recently, anybody agree, disagree?

LOL...Macy Gray opening.  Yeah, I agree, Nissan is worse...I just thought of Bowie as more of a Warner Theater type performer (yeah, I know, small venue), or maybe he could do 2 nights at the 9:30.  Nissan just seems so BIG for Bowie....and the Patriot Center might be hard for him to fill.  Or am I underestimating how big he still is?

I don't think either could fill the MCI, but Bowie would draw larger crowds outside of DC (like MSG for example).

I would think Bowie could sell MCI.

Did anyone catch Bowie saying he doesn't expect copyright to last another decade?  Which is very funny, considering Bowie is the guy that issued bonds secured by the future revenue of his songwriting royalties.

I find Macy Gray to be WAY more annoying than the Dandy Warhols...at least they don't sound like Donald Duck smoking 3 packs of Kool Cigarettes a day.

I fully agree!!!! And I too think that Bowie would sell more tickets.

With that said, considering the venue, the opener and the cost of the ticket, I'll be missing this show.

At least she doesn't look like she's straight out of bad 80's gay porn, like the Dandy's lead singer does.
Well, actually, she looks like she could have been in bad 70's pron.
