Just bought my ticket today, hurrah!  For once, DC has totally lucked out--did anyone else notice that so many of the venues in other cities (Boston, NY, not sure about the Tower Theatre in Philly...) are seated?  B&S were amazing last time they were here, but Constitution Hall was such a drag.  I can't wait to shake my rump and not have to worry about the snarky "sit down!" people around me.

I'm not sure wha's so special about standing up for several hours crunched into a bunch of smoking people who you don't even know, unable to stretch your body. My legs get so fucking stiff, thus I don't goto many 9:30 shows.

Rhett, this is one show you'll be sorry to miss...Belle and Sebastian are easily one of the best bands I've EVER seen!  I wouldn't miss this one for the world.

I have class on Tuesday nights. Otherwise, we'd probably go. This would be a show worth putting up with the discomfort for.

I was only saying that I'd prefer seeing them at a sit down, non-smoking venue where people aren't on top of each other.

I don't blame you...I saw them at the old Black Cat and it was great and worth putting up with. At Constitution Hall, everyone wanted to get up and dance though, and the gestapo security was just downright mean to the audience.  There was a whole lotta love going on...it was quite a shame because the audience was really up for a great show, which we got...but we felt compelled to sit down and it put a bit of a damper on it. But I will still remember that show as being nothing short of absolutely brilliant.  I am so happy that they're coming back.

It's true, the crowd was really antsy to dance, but there was a positive aspect to the DAR show -- the huge stage allowed for one hell of a stage set up and show.  The light show was amazing (to the disappointment of the friend with me, who was having some migraine issues and the lights going out over the crowd were making her nuts...she wore sunglasses, to little avail.).
