I wonder if Radiohead were the culprits...you know those limey bastards probably plotted Isabel. Weren't they supposed to do a secret surprise gig in DC on Thursday night?   ;)

a lot of people lose hot water with their power, and taller buildings have electric pumps to get the water up the building

sooooo, cold showers, smaller buildings. Either way i thought the storm was a big waster and i thought it was going to be much more fun.  I was very disappointed.  Until i heard what happened to many other people, I am one of the only people i know that didnt even lose power or anything!

I'm glad someone else thought the same...it was just like a windy night on the English coast.

What cracks me up is the genius's at pepco are just going to put the lines back up on poles again so they can get blown down next time the wind picks up....why not bury them like civilized countries tend to do??? Or at least borrow some wire from the phone company because that never snapped!
