brilliant. sheer brilliance.
saw the show last night in NYC - LOVED IT. a great mix of comedy and performance art. the original five guys doing 1.5 hour live version of their TV show, with both old and new characters. the GF, who had previously seen only one episode and wasn't at all impressed (it was only a so-so early show), walked away raving. there a few awkward, i-can't-believe-they-said-that moments... staunch christians and gay-humor-haters should stay away. everyone else will have a blast. the show had an interesting cumulative effect on me: as the show went on it came to me that i was witnessing an almost-mind-blowing acting performance. the guys were obviously having a blast up there. i'm not giving away any details of the show, since a lot of the humor is due to its expected nature. highly, highly recommended.
unexpected surprise: i had front row center seats. according to TM's seating map there was supposed to be 4 rows of orchestra pit seats ahead of me, guess the map was wrong
and rhett, you'll be pleased to know that a skit is dedicated to the b-day bj!
