Does this mean that the Danes are the World's biggest wankers?

Those Great Danes!  :D

Actually, if we were in the market for a sprog and my tackle wasn't working.....Denmark would be a top choice for us, that and Iceland. Those are two nations with damn good looking natives.

Tell your wife I love her country....I've only been to Copenhagen and Soderbourg(sp?) of course, but that was enough!

You saw a little bit of Zealand, now you have to go back and see the other side of Denmark, Jutland. Gorgeous scenery over there!

Loads of mighty fine looking women (and men) over there as well!

This week's episode of the Twenty Thousand Hertz podcast covers the Golden Record, a gold-plated copper LP affixed to both Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 "containing sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth."

In the late '70s, NASA launched Voyagers 1 & 2 to explore the furthest reaches of our solar system and beyond. But something amazing was included on those space probes... a 90-minute time capsule of sounds, language, and music from Earth called The Golden Record. Its intended recipient? Any intelligent extraterrestrial life that might stumble upon it. What did Carl Sagan and his team put on the record to represent all of humanity? How would aliens decode it?

For the first time ever, the album will be deconstructed track-by-track. Featuring Tim Ferris and Linda Salzman Sagan, two pioneers behind the record.

WaPo: The Dept. of Energy plans to announce that scientists have been able to produce a fusion reaction that creates a net energy gain — a major milestone in the decades-long quest to develop technology that provides unlimited, cheap, clean power.
