Hooray!  One of my favorite 90's tech boom companies is back and this time with a useful (and legal) new purpose:

AUDIOGALAXY

The program has reinvented itself and is now a music streaming ? or more accurately, placeshifting ? application with which you can listen to the music stored in your computer at any time, no matter where you are.

Social Distortion have officially announced the release of their new album Hard Times And Nursery Rhymes due out January 18, 2011. The guys definitely don?t waste any time getting to business on Hard Times And Nursery Rhymes with the long awaited instrumental intro ?Road Zombie,? which sets the tone for the next fifty-five minutes. Followed by some new sounds with songs like ?California (Hustle And Flow),? which includes backing gospel singers and greasy solos. A quoted nod to the Stones and sure to give you the chills. Rest assured that you?ll find some familiarity with songs you?ve been hearing on the road such as ?Diamond In The Rough? and ?Bakersfield.? Huge money (they're essentially considered an asset like real estate).  But the underlying story here is that apparently there's big money in porn and investmentment funds, so I think I'm going to start the first investment fund for the Porn Industry.  Brilliant.

"SEX.COM is set to fetch a record $13m for a domain name on Wednesday October 27th when a Californian bankruptcy court meets to decide on the deal. The domain name last changed hands in 2006 for a reported $14m in cash and shares, but it was put up for auction in July after its owner went bust. This 2006 transaction does not appear on our chart, which compares the highest prices paid for domain names in cash only, and those that can be verified. It does not, for instance, include the purchase of Insure.com for $16m in 2009 because the related website was part of the deal. And the priciest domains may never be known. Many big sales are not made public, and these may account for the largest share of the domain-name market."

Yes, I used it at work on Wednesday and then went on a roadtrip.  It's on my home laptop now and I'll give it a thorough go today.

It's essentially Chrome, which I like, and a ton of links on each side that do a pretty good job of utilizing wasted space.  I love the twitter link on the right hand side.

Yeah, definitely.  Gave a little tour today, and it seems pretty solid.  I haven't gone through it too much, or seen a side-by-side with how it displays site, but the social networking tie-ins are pretty cool, and I imagine will only get cooler.  Still, a little odd to me to have the browser so focused on that aspect of things...but then again, who isn't* using sites like Facebook and Twitter fairly regularly (especially with smartphones, tablets, etc.)?

* Yes, I know, I know.  Rhett, walkonby, etc. etc.  I'm talking about regular people

One of the things I REALLY like about it, is that I no longer have to keep two tabs open for FB and Twitter.  With the links on the side, it gives you a very clean view of the Newsfeed and Twitter Feed without all the ads and extra crap from the web sites.

I've added a few of my other favorite sites (that it detected automatically) and I basically have ad-free versions of my most visited sites.   Super slick....

A couple of other notes on my new favorite browser....

They keep the right side RSS feeds from web sites across browsers.  For example, I used RM at home over the weekend, added a bunch of feeds, and when I returned to work, the feeds I added over the weekend appeared on my work computer.  A nice feature, but one that I wish I could turn off because I tend to follow different feeds at home and work.  I've suggested that they make that feature optional.

I still have one more invite if anybody wants it, but there's a catch.  You have to be my FB friend for me to send it to you....
