awesome!!  thanks for the info....

i heard that SEE-I would be playing, i was just hoping for the confirmation.  this is gonna be a dope night for sure.

if you are not familiar with SEE-I check their page - http://www.myspace.com/seei

they are an 8 piece roots reggae band - 4 of the 8 members are from Thievery Corporation and everyone is really talented (members of other bands like All Mighty Senators, Nayas, Thunderball, Fort Knox 5, Sin Miedo, Soul Brazil, International Velvet, etc.).  they're gonna rock the house for sure.

and then you have ROB GARZA's band, Dust Galaxy on hand too - this is shaping up to be a big night for sure!

 thanks for the confirmation....

damn, this thread about the 9:30 Club this weekend has been hijacked!!  that sucks....  oh well

here's some more news for Friday's show - Dust Galaxy (featuring Rob Garza & Ashish Vyas of Thievery Corporation, as well as Jerry Busher of Fugazi) release their self titled LP today - check it out:

ESL Music is proud to announce the release of DUST GALAXY'S self-titled debut album today, November 6. DUST GALAXY is Rob Garza's psychedelic rock & roll solo excursion. In recording the album, Rob enlisted producer Brendan Lynch (Primal Scream, Paul Weller) to push the UK take on older American sounds with more grit and psych, along with guest musicians Shawn Lee, Martin Duffy & Darrin Moody from Primal Scream, Adam Blake of Cornershop, and Jim Townsend (the People's Revolutionary Choir) Didi Gutman (Brazilian Girls) Jerry Busher (Fugazi & French Toast). Expect to hear sounds of psychedelic India, British paisley beats, post-punk, and American roots rock!

Be sure to get your copy today at http://www.eslmusic.com or at a fine record store near you.

Kristi Kates from REMIX Magazine loves DUST GALAXY'S album and gave it five stars in the November issue!

"Thievery Corporation's Rob Garza has embarked on Dust Galaxy as his new solo project and effectively shifts his myriad talents from producer to songwriter/performer. With a passel of supporting musicians, including Cornershop's Adam Blake and Primal Scream's Martin Duffy, Garza merges '60s Brit-pop (ā??Overheadā?), Paul Weller-reminiscent tracks (ā??Limitlessā?) and beautifully executed, electronically affected East Indian sounds (ā??River of Ever Changing Forms,ā? ā??Sun in Your Headā?) into an album that is comfortably influenced by his work with Thievery but also a daring and successful leap for Garza himself."

DUST GALAXY will begin their tour on Nov. 14th in Toronto. In addition to a full live set from Dust Galaxy, the show will also feature DJ sets from Rob Garza & Ursula 1000. Tickets for all shows are on sale now!

That really took about two posts to discuss the new schedule for this weekend.  Anybody who clicks this thread will read the first two - don't sweat it.
