Yep, I know what you're saying.

My uncle is actually out in Greer, but the area seems to have grown so much that it doesn't seem like he's so much out in the country anymore.

interesting ... typical like 3-hours long?  how's south cackalacky treating you? [/b]
Actually didnt stay for the end. We left 2 hours in and they were still going strong. SC is great. Complete 180 from DC but much more comfortable/affordable etc. Asheville is only an hour away which helps. [/b]

Yep. Very nice place. Very different from the rest of the state. Not that the rest of the state isnt nice....but you know.... [/b]

well sheeeeeeeeeeeeee-it .... at some point in the evening i decided it would be a good idea to take a shot of jack with every bud that i was getting, so i blacked out approximately 2 hours into the show

HOWEVER, i loved the acoustic portion of the evening and the truckers definitely rocked out the plugged-in section

rhett: sorry i didn't get back to you, i was busy yesterday and just got your PM

ggw: was that you outside trying to buy tickets?

DBT were good - as always.

I liked the acoustic idea in concept, but in practice, I thought it was pretty much a snore.

No.  I was outside for a bit before the show, but I had a ticket.

What about the rest of the setlist? Or is that the point you blacked out at?

During the acoustic set was "The Night GG Allin Came to Town" and the last 2 songs were "Buttholeville/State Trooper" and "People Who Died" to end the evening....

I never understand why some people profess reverence or even aknowledge people who are total talentless douchebags.

I was standing in the back when they were doing this one. Some little twerp "sings/yells" to his friends in a demonic voice "GG Allin. The baddest motherfucker in rock history. Took a crap on stage and shoved a microphone"

 Thanks for sharing, douchebag.

That song was a low point of the evening for me!

One other comment on the show, which Anton Phibes pointed out early on to me...that show had to set some kind of record for body odor. Come on people...is it too much to shower when you need it? It almost made me long for the smell of cigarette smoke. Almost.

The guy in the balcony wearing the GG Allin t-shirt thought so.

I canâ??t figure out how that fits into the whole concert t-shirt dynamic.  If itâ??s not okay to wear the shirt of the band that you are seeing; is it okay to wear the shirt of a band/artist that the band you are seeing sings about?
