I saw him last time around and don't remember him playing anything by Modern Lovers. He was touring with only his drummer dude. My favorite parts of the show were when he stops playing and does his little dances. A criminally small amount of people were there. Still a decent show however. I heard he only likes certain venues in each city, and will play only there or not at all, so perhaps that's why he plays 9:30 club when Black cat's capacity is closer to what he draws in.
