The Changing Face of Music History Lesson
« on: June 01, 2006, 01:32:00 pm »
The post below brought some crazy little thoughts in my mind in the vein of Dupek and thought that I'd create a separate thread for us to play with since the conversation on the originating thread was going very strong in a bit different direction.

people have been saying this for hundreds of years. [/b]
Basically, just pick some point in history and create a quote concerning the changing face of music or it's impact via it's times. (May present in any format that works best for your idea. Of course, you may also present the alternative or some other view.)

 EX:
 Ancient Jerusalem, circa AD 6:
"Bah, all good music died with Jesus Christ."

 Some Early American Colonist:
"Ai, we left all of that Brit Folk back in ye Olde Country. Tom toms is where it's at now, babycakes."

Marie Antoinette (sitting at her harpsichord): "Let them bang on pots and pans."

It's all carbon dioxide levels now.  You can't make on the charts today unless you are sensitive to UVB rays.
