 10 Vacation Days

 Of course, the fucking kicker about this place is that the "sick days" are in place of any short term disability...so I can't use them unless I'm sick 3 or more days.  And I dont' get sick...so I can't use them.  Oh, and they don't get paid out.  Ever.  Lame.
 
 Which is why I'm submitting resumes as we speak.

Something like 32 days PTO plus holidays.. that's from being at the same company for 17 years! And I have 500 hours untaken PTO that they have to pay me for if I leave.
 When I started in the 80's, 3 weeks was typical but now most places it's 2 weeks PTO for new employees.
 If you're comparing "salaried exempt" jobs, also try to get a sense of whether they're gonna screw you on working extra unpaid hours ... there's usally a clue in the interview because places like that just want sheep to take advantage of.  They'll ask if you mind working late.. ask them how often that happens, and if it's often, do you get comp time. Ask if raises and bonuses there are based on how much extra time people work

i hate a lot of you.
 
 i get 10 days vacation.
 and 7 sick days.
 no personal time. and nothing rolls over.
 and although there are like 5 paid holidays, there is no such thing as an actual holiday where everyone gets the day off in my biz.
 
 last year i worked every single 'holiday' except christmas day.... which means new years day, easter, thanksgiving, july 4, etc etc. luckily, this year has been a bit better to me.

I am not totally sure as I am in transistion, but I think about 4 weeks vacation/sick, 10 holidays, and then some other stuff.

 at last count I had accumulated something like 40 sick days

 15 paid holidays.
 1 personal day.

 When I started, I accumulated 2 vacation days every month, or 24 working days a year (just short of 5 weeks).  That has since gone up to about 2.5 days a month based on my length of service.  I can carry up to 384 vacation hours to the next year (I currently have 280 hours accumulated, or 35 working days, which is about 2 months).  When I leave, I am paid out for vacation.  
 
 I also accumulate 2 sick days per month, which I never use and have reached the max that I can carry over (270 hours).  I am not paid out when I leave my job for sick time accrued, but I can donate them to a staff pool for folk who have critical illness and not enough sick time.

Wow, I thought I would have the most, but I think Vansmack has me beat, I just quit my job but after 6 years I had the following

 the whole week after xmas off
 
 and I worked from home
 
 why did I quit again? oh yeah, I was miserable doing the work

after 9 years, i get about 4 weeks vacation.
 there's a raise every year. now we're doing quartiles and crap i don't understand.
 
 this is turning into a big corporation which is hinkey and weird.

Yes, I have a great situation here.  I won't even go into my benefits or retirement package...
 
 We also have the whole week between Xmas and New Years (I counted that as part of my 15 paid holidays) and things really slow down when the students aren't here (January and the summer).
 
 I have never asked for a raise but have gotten one every year (exceeding COLA) and have been given a few bonuses for good work.
 
 And the worst part is - I love nearly every minute of my job.

 You can "roll over" up to 2 weeks vacation into the following year.
