I know a guy who was going to fly to New Orleans from DC in the past year or two to go see Better than Ezra on New Years Eve. I'm unsure whether he actually went through with the plan.

Are you equating dedication with being a glutton for punishment???

I know a guy from high school who I still (unfortunately) talk to occasionally who fucking LOVES Seven Mary Three.  And not just for "Cumbersome"; he honestly gets outraged if anyone calls them a one-hit wonder.  Gotta admire his dedication, if nothing else...

I don't know if Seth slums around in these other threads, but I wonder if someone from the club can give the real story on this.</THREADJACK>

No, I'm equating "dedication" with "he's a fucking douche bag anyway, so he should listen to shitty music."

The show was great except for the fact that they played nothing, not one note from the FROGSTOMP Album.  I looked online for setlists to past shows but had no luck.  They played 4 old school songs off of the Freak Show album.  All in all a great show, Daniel had an eye patch on because he plays the guitar with his teeth and apparently something broke and gave him a black eye.
In review:  No Israel's Son, No Tomorrow, No Pure Massacre.  It was new material from Young Modern and Diorama.  Great show but disappointed.

I'm surprised anyone wanted to hear Frogstomp shit. They wrote that album when they were 14 or 15 and are now 28.

That album is shit anyway. All the same freaking key.

I was happy to hear the mix of the new stuff and some of the old stuff. Even if you don't even like the new stuff, you can't argue that Daniel Johns is not an excellent stage performer. The giant panties thrown up on stage? The strategically placed fan that wanted to hear Mind Reader(seriously, that pissed me off). The hat. The eyepatch. The playing the guitar with his teeth.

Great show. I wish I could have seen them during their Neon Ballroom tour

Do most males who are Tori Amos fans have feminist bumper stickers on their cars?

The Neon Ballroom tour was amazing.  It totally blew last nights show away, and I have said last night was great but neon, simply amazing.  It is weird to see a band not play their biggest hit that being Tomorrow.  They still play that song on the radio. It reminds me of Radiohead for the longest time they did not play Creep and maybe they still do not play it.
I guess I was hoping to have a rocking time and leave with my ears ringing, but that did not happen.
