I'm not this time. I saw her last time when she was a part of "Some Girls", that was a decent show.

Actually, the last time she was at Iota was just a few months ago.  She was solo with her backing band. I'm certainly not a huge fan or anything but I found the show to be quite good.

Yes, but not sold out. I believe it was a Thursday also.  The crowd actually started to thin out an hour into her set. Lame-wad yuppies.

Actually, I edited my original post that commented this was probably a stupid question for Iota especially on a Thursday.
 Thanks for the info though.

I'd be interested to go, but events in the District call.

Iota rarely gets super-crowded, though that big pillar in the middle is a bitch if it's full capacity.

Eesh you think? I laugh at how they pack 'em in especially on Thursday and Friday. At the door they'll comment, "there's room in the back". No one ever fills that empty space and they just keep piling them in!

So did anyone go to this show last night?

I really really like JH but I've found her solo shows to be a bit....boring. I have to admit that I prefer watching her when she "rocks out" more, like she does with the full band.

Of course, if this WAS a show with a full band that I'm going to kick myself for having missed it.

No band, just her. Not as good as the last time she was at IOTA with the band. Short set too, no encore or anything. Maybe about 1 hour, 1:10 tops.

Actually, it was probably the best Juliana solo show that I've seen.  Usually, she is less likely to converse with the audience solo.  With the several retuning she needs to do, it can lead to a lot of dead space.  She was quite chatty, I thought.  About a hour and twenty minutes with no encores.

 Here's the setlist:
 Gone (Madonna cover)
 Sunshine
 You Make Me Feel Invisible
 Heaven
 My Sister
 Robot City
 Jamie's Back in Town
 Spin the Bottle
 Somebody is Waiting for me
 Down on Me
 Hotels
 Tourist
 Feel It
 Here Comes the Darkness (?)
 Slow Motion
 Stupid Thing
 Fleur de Lys
 Got No Idols
 Prettiest Girl
 Because We Love You
 Tomorrow Never Knows

She will be releasing some older music on her website.  "You Make Me Feel Invisible" and "Stupid Thing" will likely be songs that see the light of day there.  Supposedly they will be releasing two songs every other week.
