« on: November 20, 2003, 02:07:00 pm »
Ok, since everyone has deemed me the Radiohead freakboy on the board...i will fulfill my job  :)

  Radiohead

 Radiohead to Headline Coachella Festival

Radiohead are strongly rumoured to headline the Coachelle Festival next year in Indio, California.

Taking place on May 1st and 2nd 2004, the festival is the west coast's biggest festival, last year attracting The White Stripes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Beastie Boys, The Libertines and a reformed Iggy Pop and The Stooges.

Further details of the line-up have yet to be confirmed.

Cool news! Don't know if I'll be attending though... a long way to go from Baltimore to Indio, Ca for a festival.

Its the best damn concert festival I have ever been to.  Defintely the best one in the US. (rhett would disagree).
Perfect weather, very nice people, and one fuck of a lineup.
never thought i would be at a show where i could see Soundtrack of our lives, Ben Folds, Sonic Youth, Iggy Pop, White Stripes, Interpol, Libertines, Talib Kweli and Underworld all in one day!

Radiohead would've made it perfect, and maybe this year it can be

If Queens of the Stone Age show up this next year, I think I'm going to go to this one. I'm not big on all-day festival stuff, but I wouldn't want to miss out...I would imagine it would be 2 fantastic days (as long as Limp Bizkit, Metallica, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers stay far, far away).

I just wish there was a sister festival on the East Coast that would run on the same weekend, kinda like the V200x festivals in the UK.  Then again the distance between the shows would be a bit much for the bands to travel overnight.

This month's issue of Urb (with Thom Yorke on the cover) says it's official.  Radiohead is headlining the first night (May 1st) and the Pixies are opening for them.  No joke.

That's fine, it is Hail to the Thief I have a real problem with, I didnt mind Kid A or Amnesiac when they came out, but still think they are nothing close to OK Computer.

So don't play Hail to the Thief, or I will stick my head in one of those bags and that is probably pretty unpleasant.
