Some people feel that why they really don't care what people do with their lives, they also don't want their children to see or be molded by gay marriages. I know I for one do not want its ok to be gay thrown in my child's face. While I don't give a ratâ??s ass if you are gay, I don't think its right or agree with it. Keep it to yourself, be tasteful about it. Why must we make special laws for gays, its as bad as having a black history month or a BET. Why is there no Asian history month? Everyone wants to be equal, but do everything they can to separate themselves from the rest. I don't want to offend anyone, but lets face it its time everyone shuts the fuck up and just lives. No need to glamorize being gay, black, white or anything else for that matter.

how does allowing gay marriage glamorize being gay? wtf? it's pretty much been scientifically proven that homosexuality is something you are born with.  I mean, really...when you were a kid, do you really think if you saw 2 guys who were married, that would make you want to go out and gave some guy suck you off in a bathroom? lol...i just don't understand why people are so afraid of gay marriage......from the way you are talking, hey, might as well take a womens right to vote away as well since thats giving them "special rights"...hell, might as well make the blacks sit in the back of the bus again too, after all, who would want to give them the special right of sitting wherever they want?

for me, it's more of a seperation of church and state thing....they can ban it all they want to in church....i'm okay with that...but last time i checked, marriage is a civil affair.

Of course I think they should be able to sit wherever the want, lol. You took some things I said the wrong way, or maybe I just did not know how to say what I feel the right way. Its a touchy subject.

vwimports, im just wondering.. are you asian?

and by saying that gays shouldn't be given special rights, if they were allowed to wed that wouldn't be special rights. just catching up for years of not being able to do what straight americans can choose to do.

and to whomever said they didn't want gay to be shoved into their childrens faces, i can think of a hell of a lot "worse" things i will worry about my children having to see then someone who is gay. take for instance the nice crack houses that the government could care less about.

and do i want my children to be gay? (though i think that comment was sort of a light hearted joke..) i wouldnt care. id rather them be gay then date a wifebeater (or husbandbeater whatever) or a drug addict or someone whose family abuses the welfare system, etc.. etc...

i cant believe this is still a discussion. so much for love is blind. whats age matter? whats color matter? why the heck should sex matter.

sure gay men have to listen to womens problems... haha.. i whine bitch and complain to my gay friends all of the time. why? because at least they tell me the truth.  ;)

and i try to leave peoples religious (or lack there of) beliefs out of this, because you do not have to be affiliated with any religion to marry someone. and maybe "god" says different, but this is the state saying gays shouldnt have the right to marraige.

someone commented too, what ever happened to separation of church and state?.. oh yea, there never was such a thing.

i love america, i just dont understand some of its reasonings sometimes.

They don't want special laws.  They want the same laws that apply to every human American to apply to them.  That's it.  I marry, you marry, Bruce and Ken marry.  There are very, very important benefits that come with civil marraige: survivor rights, property rights, hospitalization & medical rights.

Hmmm, you mean a stylish, smart, successful, fit son?  Sure thing!  His only problem will be dealing with the assholes of the world who want to give him a hard time because he's more stylish, smart, successful and fit than they are.

Here is a article you all need to read..

I like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and big campfires. I
believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some governmental
stooge with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts for
squirting out babies.Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes
you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one
is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, that is why there are
no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA
 BURKE?

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is
an opinion. I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything
except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory
are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black
Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like
the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment
Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens. Jesse Jackson will
be knocking down your door. I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others
because they are different, weird, or tick me off. When 70% of the people
who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black,
that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.

I know what sex is, and there are not varying degrees of it. If I received
sex from one of my subordinates in my office, it wouldn't be a private
matter or my personal business. I would be "FIRED" immediately!

I believe that if you are selling me a milk shake, a pack of cigarettes, a
newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As
a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to
speak English! My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave
the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours. I think the
police should have every right to shoot your sorry self if you threaten them
after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or
stop" in English, see the above lines.

I feel much safer letting a machine with no political affiliation recount
votes when needed. I know what the definition of lying is.
I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are
qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or
tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or
any other business. We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries
and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later
 they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document;
 and open to their interpretations.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor. I know pro wrestling is fake,
but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop
you from watching them. I believe a self-righteous liberal or conservative
with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue
to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system
that's better, and put your name on the building. Ask your buddy that
invented the Internet to help you.

It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a
parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds
 when necessary, and say "NO!"

"I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't
pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that
new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you
 serve me french fries!

I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not
a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be
African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying
I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great
grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else.

Actually, I'll take kind, honest, respectful and positive thinking over the qualities you name. Qualities that seem to be lacking every bit as much in the gay world as in the straight world.

Yes, the queers down on 17th Street pay more attention to style than most people. But of what real importance is style?
And as long as a person lives a healthy lifestyle and is REASONABLY fit, who cares how fit they are? Many of the 17th Street queers are just walking vanity projects.
Smart is a good quality, but can you tell that someone is smart just by observing them on 17th Street?
And how do you define successful? There are a lot of pretty queers who make a lot of money and throw it away on consumerist junk. That means they are successful?
