For Mankie and the Footballers
« on: September 23, 2003, 11:55:00 am »
Mankie,

Catch that match this weekend?  What an abysmal display of class by Arsehole squad.  Unbelieveable.

If you missed it, FSW is replaying it tomorrow at 8 ET, but more importantly, the YES network (through the contract between United and the Yankees) replays the MU.TV broadcast on Thursday.  I can't wait to hear the Manchester announcers discuss the Viera kick, Ruud's miss and the Keown/Laurent/Cole/Lehmann/Parlour debacle.  I've never had more respect for Ruud in my life - if it were me, I would have been throwing punches left and right.  He just ran off.  Nobely I might add for a guy who just missed a game winning PK in stoppage time.

I gave up on baseball about two months ago, although my new neighborhood is making that extremely difficult.  Serves me right after the euphoria of last year.

Wow - Wrigley for a playoff game.  I'm super envious.

That's Arsehole for ya...unfortunately they're the FA's sweetheart team so very little will come of it. Fergie gets charged for calling the ref a wanker or whatever at the Newcastle game, but this French TWAT gets away with murder for some reason. The players will get some form of supsension Wanger will appeal, they'll drag it out then reduce the suspensions and nothing will change. I just hope Chelsea become the premier team of London.

Then why is it, it always gets brought up when he's running his stinking yap? He's so annoying don't you think?...and shouldn't it be, 'he and his big bank account'? Not sure or trying to be a smart arse, but it doesn't look right for some reason.

I've never seen the A's so happy about a Tim Salmon homerun.... Congrats (again).  I would wish you luck, but it doesn't take luck to win the World Series.  It takes believing.
