FYI: Sam Goody is having a going out of business sale at the White Marsh mall.  40% off storewide.  I was very tempted to get the Ramones new box set with comic.  Instead I got a complete box set of Devo action figures.  They look lovely upon the mantle of my fireplace.

Tower Annapolis is selling all CDs and DVDs for 50% off through Sunday. Then it's lights out.
 
 And you can bet that the selection is a hell of a lot better than at Goodys.

well the selection is surely better than the Sam Goody I went to at Montgomery Mall, where only 40% off on the Sire and Nuggets III boxset made the trip worth it.  Wish Tower's imports weren't so darn expensive, even 50% off can be hefty... i'm guessin the Talking Heads boxsets have been snapped up out there...

BTW KosmoV, I saw a coupla Nuggets box sets at the White Marsh Sam Goody.

I'm not into the toys but I know that the other stores in the area transferred their marked-down toys to Naptown so that they had a better chance of clearing out. In other words, they have a fair amount of toys.

Business was pretty brisk early Monday evening and some sections were already noticably thin. You can probably still find a fair amount of worthwhile stuff but don't expect any Beatles, Stones, Dylan,....

I saw beaucoup Beatles, Stones and Dylan.

I snatched some Corpse Bride figures, some Robocop figures, a Dr. NO doll, Mystery Science Theatre Vol.7, Six Feet Under Season 3,  Beavis and Butthead Vol.1, A Cabaret Voltaire DVD, as well as 2 CDs by Weird Al, 4 by Zappa, 1 Hayseed Dixie, a Midnite Oil hits disc and a best of Dr.Demento.
 
 I got there as they opened at 10AM.  By 11 the place was packed...so I'd recommend going ASAP if you wanna get the schwag before it's all gone.
