Damn. Iron and Wine is one of the few acts I would prefer to see at the Birchmere. They're just so quiet. Club shows drown them out.

Did you catch his Iota shows a few years back?  I recall Rhett finding it boring, but I thought it was fantastic.  I've never heard that place so quiet...plus, he played "Dead Man's Will," which is pretty much my favorite I&W song ever.
 
 His other 9:30 show with Calexico wasn't too bad, noise-wise.

I caught I&W with his sister a few years back in SF. That was a fantastic show. Was his sister with him at the IOTA show?

Sam Beam (Iron and Wine) played a ton of new songs at Messiah College in February, and they all sounded amazing, just so you know.
