To tie in with forthcoming 2008 releases on DVD of the classic 'LIVE AFTER DEATH' and 'MAIDEN ENGLAND' concert videos (more details coming soon) this tour, aptly entitled 'SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME', will revisit the band's history by focusing almost entirely on the 80's in both choice of songs played and the stage set, which will be based around the legendary Egyptian Production of the 1984-85 'Powerslave Tour'. This will arguably be the most elaborate and spectacular show the band have ever presented, and will include some key elements of their Somewhere In Time tour of 1986/7, such as the Cyborg Eddie.

nice!

 Monday October 15 $20 8PM blues/pop/rock
 An Evening with Frank Stallone
Seldom has a performer been strongly considered for an Academy Award in both acting and music, yet Frank Stallone has managed to pull it off. His fiery portrayal of a brutish bartender Eddie in the film Barfly had Hollywood insiders abuzz at Oscar time, and his #1 hit Far From Over, from the film Staying Alive, was likewise touted for a 'Best Song' nomination. Itâ??s all in a dayâ??s work for Frank a gifted artist who is equally comfortable on screen or on the concert stage.
This Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist has been everything from a street singer, a rock singer, to a big band singer. Frank was also nominated for a Grammy for best soundtrack and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song from the film Staying Alive. Frank has written songs for 11 films, and still plays to SRO crowds in arenas and concert halls from Los Angeles to London.

Two days after Chrome Dreams II hits record stores, Neil Young will embark on a twenty-date North American tour that kicks off October 18th in Boise and ends December 13th in New York City. The musicians who played on the album â?? Ben Keith (pedal steel, dobro), Ralph Molina (drums) and Rick Rosas (bass) â?? will also comprise Youngâ??s touring band, and his wife, Pegi, will serve as the opening act. The trek includes two nights at Torontoâ??s Massey Hall, the site where Young recorded his acclaimed 1971 solo album Live at Massey Hall.

best news of the month! my main issue with recent maiden shows is not enough deep cuts from the '80s.

Drove to Camden to see them last year. Good show. But you are right. They played their entire new album in its entirety, then played a few 80's songs. I would love to see Maiden get back to the songs that made them who they are.

It appears from a source I have at Sonar that 50 Cent is coming in the next few months. It's getting announced tomorrow.

I don't care, but maybe someone here will.

Anyone remember the good old days where none of us had "sources" or secret insider information and all we did was talk about Brit-pop?
