They did.  Anyone go?  What I've read about the new guy says his voice is a ringer for Hoon's.  So it's worth checking out at least.  I never got to see them back in the day.  Hoon ODed like 2 weeks before the show I was supposed to go to.

If it's Dave Wakelings's English Beat it's not really that worth seeing... Think Dave + who ever he can get on a bus... don't get me wrong, dave's voice sounded great, but the band was definitely lacking especially without a sax player.

Haven't they only ever played a handful of festivals?  Perhaps they're counting on the rarity of their shows to fill MSG.

They've played quite a few shows in NYC and Philly but they were all at clubs; the biggest being Terminal 5.
 CSS, Chromeo, Busy P and Fancy are also on the bill but they won't be drawing in many extra people.
