the ottobar show was indeed loud and one of the last times i actually wore earplugs, but i think the shows @ whirlyball in atlanta may have been louder, with the way the venue was set up.. it was a weird L shaped room (and really small) where the back wall of the area in front of the stage only allowed for the crowd to be probably 6 people deep? so even if you were at the back of the front area you were still right in front of the stage getting blasted by sound.

Joel and Victoria Osteen, pastors of the largest church in America will hold a worship event at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.   The event will be on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 7:30pm.

"A Night of Hope" with Joel and Victoria Osteen is an outreach of Joel Osteen Ministries and is an exciting time of praise and worship where attendees will hear an inspirational message from Joel and Victoria along with the electrifying music of Dove Award winning Cindy Cruse Ratcliff and the Lakewood Band and Ensemble.

With over 45,000 members strong, Lakewood Church is the largest and most diverse congregation in America, bringing a message of hope to millions of households throughout the United States. Joel Osteen's weekly services are broadcast on television in the U.S. and around the world in over 100 nations.  (in case you're wondering, tickets are $15 each, which i imagine won't make him a whole lot of money... not that ticket sales is where this dude makes his cash)

They shouldn't be charging anything for tickets.

I saw Billy Graham in London back in '89 and it didn't cost a penny. I even got to see Cliff Richards do a couple of whitebred gospel tunes.

I can't say I got saved that day, but old Billy was quite a good speaker.

Actually, that is Mogwai, especially their earlier works. They get you all perked up and listening with your more sensitive hearing and then WHAM!!!...knock you off your feet with a sonic blast that destroys your hearing and reverberates all through your body.

Buzzlife is no longer doing events at Fur. They're promising to pop back up somewhere else "soon."
