320K of those views are the same six people.  Sweetcell, Vansmack, etc.

Actually, I rarely click on this thread since I don't live in DC and don't really care who's coming to town.

However, Smackie aside, there are generally twice as many "guests" on this forum as there are actual registered users for most of the work day:

I was going to say the same thing about you clicking on this thread.

Anyway, I only log in when i have something to say. When I'm simply browsing, I'm on as a guest. So the "guest" activity could just be regulars rather than true guests. Am I possibly right? Just saying.

The fact that this thread alone has been viewed over 350K times in less that seven years tells me somebody must be reading this board.

And it's the double bill that makes it (perhaps, as I said) a big ticket, what an incredible douche. I be both shows will sell out before Sept.

LOL @ Of Montreal being a tough ticket, double LOL @ "the masses" reading the 9:30 Club's message board, what an incredible douche
That's about 148 views per day, that's not all that much. I think between the regular 10 or so posters on here that's pretty average. Not to mention lurkers, 350k over 7 years is......average.

So Whartscape is basically an alternative artscape for hipsters, correct?

I'm tempted to see Beach House and taking the Light Rail down from Timonium would work nicely.

this was from pfork:

Dan Deacon, who has become the de facto point of national attention for the Baltimore underground scene recently, told the local City Paper that "Our main reason for having Whartscape during [the more mainstream] Artscape is that Baltimore is packed that weekend with a lot of people looking for stuff to do that a city-sponsored festival can't really be host to. Not that we are doing anything insane, but I don't think Artscape would be too into Blood Baby screaming 'stab my face' at families eating gyros and looking at painted plates."

(except, it's not during artscape this year)

Ah ok, thanks.

Whartscape isn't very well known in the area. I live in Towson and most people haven't even heard of it even if they're pretty big music people. However, I would think booking Beach House will draw a lot of interest this year.

How many floors in H and H are performance spaces? I have only been to Floristree. It looks as if they are making use of the entire building.

The Saturday and Sunday night caps look fantastic.

Really? I live in NoVA and have known about it for years. Maybe from reading this board.

Ah ok, thanks.

the other floors of the H&H are art galleries basically - although they have had bands and such perform there as well.  Not really that big...its going to be packed....and hot. i only live 5 blocks from the h&h + current space so it will be nice to be able to take breaks when I need to this year.
