PRIMAVERA TV PRESENTS: SAN MIGUEL PRIMAVERA SOUND LIVE

San Miguel Primavera Sound will broadcast some of the most keenly anticipated concerts of the line up on its video channel Primavera TV hosted on YouTube. It will be possible to watch live the concerts of The Cure, Wilco, Rufus Wainwright and his Band, Mazzy Star and many others all around the world.

The programme is made up of a total of 22 concerts that will be broadcast live during the three main days of the event in the Parc del Fòrum from Thursday 31st May until Saturday 2nd for those of you who cannot come to the festival.


Oh, and I'm a fan of StageIt for the one or two good artists that pop up on there for a live stream concert. Josh Rouse announced one for June 20 (www.stageit.com) 4 pm EST. Last stream/show was GREAT. (Glen Phillips has one most Sunday's; he's had a few great ones, but Josh's first show topped everyone. He had one bandmate and another friend sit in with guitars and harmonies. Not bad for "pay what you can" for 50 mins. from your house)

Intentions behind reunions are typically evident. Pavement, Pixies and Soundgarden reunions, for instance, are obvious cash grabs. I think there is more to the Dinosaur Jr., Mission of Burma and Swans reunions, though. The three latter bands have all released material on par with their older stuff and are consistently still fantastic live acts.

Having seen dinosaur jr before lou barlow rejoined the band and j mascis solo I have to say the reunited dinosaur jr was 100 times worse.  The Pixies "doolittle" shows were bad.  Pavement was boring.  But bands should reunite if they want to for whatever reason.  I mean as long as it isn't a Smashing Pumpkins type reunion.
