the two shows I've been to you could stand in front of the stage in the fairly big floor section.... the acoustics were great...and the history of that place...whoaaaaa..... talk about some ghosts...

It depends on the show.  Some shows they advertise as seated, which have a minimum.  I also went to a show that wasn't advertised as seated and then they sprung it on me after I had tickets (as well as the minimum).  I was not pleased.

Tickets are pricey though. I don't think I've seen them in 15 or so years...

I didn't even know they were still alive let alone playing music.  What are they about 55-60 now?  EDIT: Pricy is an understatement.  Tickets are easily 3x what they should be for an act of this caliber.

I saw that.. I really hate that... when they do those VIP packages you can almost forget about meeting them or getting signatures WITHOUT paying the $100....

I don't begrudge them trying to squeeze every last dime...everybody has to pay the bills....but
