well I'm looking at it from the standpoint that DC might not have gotten a show at all.... and that I've been itchin' to see them again...and they will probably soon be done for good....cause the money just isn't there for them...
What do I care if the food is not good?? I don't fuckin' eat at shows anyways.. I drink beer.. they have pitchers .. i like that....
anyways i hate the fuckin' food at the 930.who cares... I don't go to rock shows to eat food. My cardinal rules are I don't eat at shows or parties..
I drove to Philly to see them last year... getting there early to see them a few miles from my home is a minor inconvenience...and avoiding DC and their shitty parking situation is a good thing
As a middle aged guy, I never thought I'd say this, but they start their shows too early.
7:30 start time means doors at 6, which means you practically are forced to eat there if you want to eat any dinner.
And my wife doesn't get home from work until 7:30 or 8, so I can't make those early shows!
yes, they start their shows too early... when i went to holy holy we were the last people there but everyone there was having a good time eating and drinking... in other worlds we were the outliers
its not a rock and roll club.. its a folk club.. totally different.. more like a jazz supper club thing.. if its not your speed that is fine... different strokes for different folks
I just don't care at all about any of it.. they're putting on a show by Luna and that's what I care about...I don't expect every venue to do everything like I want.. the other night3q I went to see Bunny Wailer and between the opening act and Bunny about two hours of tedium elapsed...
I can tell you one thing: every time I have avoided one of my favorite bands over my not liking the venue I have regretted it in the end.. I'm not going to see a venue.. I'm going to see a rock band....I'm not going there to eat great chicken fingers.. WTF?
