Wow Munson
didn’t you see Reggie with that Yankees team?
I saw a total of ONE MLB game in my first 26ish years until i moved to Baltimore in 1993. This was it, at Yankee Stadium:

Reggie hit his 349th career home run. The Yankees won to stay on pace with the Red Sox. It was the 161st game of the year. They ended the season tied with the Sox, beating them in a one game playoff to win the division and later went on to win the World Series.
When the final out was made, someone in the crowd came up from behind me and flicked my Red Sox hat into the crowd. 11 year old me turned around ready to fight, only to discover it was my best friend who had done it.
Thurman Munson died the following August.
