What is everyone's problem with this place? I quite like it.

I have a few gripes
1 is location...now that is different for most here so this is personal.  But it's a pain to get to from Arlington
2 the staff suck
3 the beer selection sucks
4 the sight lines often suck
5 typically the venue gets bands I can't stand...but once a quarter they land a good one

they got over a million dollars in MoCo taxpayer money - my money at the time, as i was a resident of MoCo - as a subsidy.  the whole deal was really shady.  seth (and others?) offered to open the venue with no corporate hand-out but the Live Nation backroom deal went through.  fuck them.

You forgot the most important part--Montgomery County took Seth's offer and told him to fuck off and instead paid Live Nation more to open the FSS. The county actually paid LN money to open with a bunch of requirements like a minimum amount of hours per year for local events and what not. LN has as expected wiped its ass with those requirements.

Seth was willing to spend his own money like an entrepreneur to open in Silver Spring and instead the county GAVE TAX MONEY to LN to open.

Fuck LN.

FSS gets shitty acts, fourth rate rappers and cover bands. Montgomery County paid LN to fucking open a cover band venue? What a disgrace.

I'm far from a Seth fanboi but he gets great acts and bands love playing his venues. Let me know when he's booking AC/DC cover bands.
