It's definitely better than "Monkey House" -- but that's not saying much.
It's a return to their older style, but the reviews are correct in noting that it's kind of all-over-the-place and a bit wanky.

check out the dandy warhols are sound if you can. its def. a bit different than what monkeyhouse turned out to be.
as far as the new album, it grows on you overtime. although i did really like love is the new feel awful the first time i heard it (the 4 min version not the 11 min). some of the songs seem to drag out for too long, but theres some catchy stuff. Check out Smoke It, which is the first single off the album.
and i just got my tix to the fillmore show! couldnt be happier!
