Whew. I'm so glad I got my ticket. Can't wait to see The Duke Spirit.

And that's great news about The National. I've missed them every other time.

I really didn't expect it to sell out so fast.  The show at the 9:30 in June didn't sell out until the day before.  But even given that it's a bigger venue, this show really sold out quickly.
Great, now I have to find a ticket somewhere.

i would think that there is a possibility that a 2nd ted leo show would be added.  he has an open date between the DC show and the nyc show.  the black cat does not have anything listed for that night.

for the life of me, i'll never understand her appeal in any way, but i know lots of you love her. so i will pass on the information and refrain from any further disparaging remarks.

I am doing an extremely poor job of getting tickets to the shows I want to see this year...

The splintering of DMBT continues.  Now we have the Winners who I believe were the orginial three member core of DMBT.

"Weâ??re gonna be the band that writes the song that makes Israel and Palestine get along.
Weâ??re gonna write a song as universal as happy Birthday, that makes sure everybody knows that everything is going to be OK, weâ??re going to take that song and weâ??re going to play it 8 weeks in a row on Top of the Pops."

I'm heading out early Thurs a.m., so I can catch this show, if I'm able to hold myself up after so many shows day after day leading up to my departure for Austin.

I emailed TL...
Unfortunately, no second show. They are playing at the U of Richmond the next night.

In other news, I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I saw The Ventures listed on the Birchmere's website, which is pretty cool.

I'm really looking forward to Billy Bragg   :D
