Tour starts tonight, but I still haven't seen any confirmation that Malkmus will be onboard. Anyone know for sure?

yeah he won't be there. sorry to get people's hopes up. he's a pussy. i don't wanna be a lame name dropper, but berman told me he'd be there a while back, then he backed out. whatev. it'll still be great. i'll be at charlottesville, new york (x2), philly and b'more. there was actually a not-so-secret warm up show in nashville a few nites ago.  read about it.

yeah, i'm pretty sure that's the case. bobby himself sang a bit on the new record. did anyone see bobby when he came through at iota a few weeks ago? that was a damn fun show. a little unnecessarily jokey/sloppy, but when they got down to business, it was good times.

That's a bummer. Oh well, I'm still excited - should be a great show. But it just seems wrong that Malkmus won't be there...

ok so 40 minutes in the process i was easily able to get philly and dc tickets... clearily the server was having issues processing orders, but boy was it getting fustrating..

 Finally got Philly
 
 Figured out one of my main problems - had to turn cookies filter OFF. I had it set very low, but it was still not allowing it to hold my info.
 
 Didn't get Cleveland...which I really wanted.
 
 If they get this worked out - it'll be cool. But right now it feels an awful lot like ticketmaster - without the benefit of knowing what you are getting.

As long as it says "Order is processed" then you got tickets, correct?  No one has been notified subsequently that tickets were not available?  I just want to know if I have to keep checking back every five minutes.

You should get a confirmation popup & then an email immediately.
