I'm curious about this one, especially since the new album is great. But has anyone been to Love? I've been told to be wary... [/b]
i went the night it opened. when i think it was called something else.  then i used to promote a friends club outside the place in 02,03.  i dont think i once saw a caucasian go in there...but i didnt see too many fights either, and the ones i did see usually involved security and an unruly patron. [/b]
The white folk usually tend to show up for hip-hop shows at Dream/Love.  Show's on a Friday, which is urban (read: black) night.  You'll get a more mixed crowd strictly off the strength of Nas being in the building.  Dress to impress, they get super funny about dress codes up in there.

Au Revior Simone - They should put on a *Burlesque show, might make their music more interesting...  Kleenex should sponsor their tour!

Be wary of shows at Cole unless you're in the under 21 crowd.  Saw Muse and Razorlight, was stoked thinking the venue would be pretty liberal but it was a nightmare.  Made folks sit up in bleachers, while the floor was essentially empty (was told needed to be on the floor 30 minutes after the door opened or no dice).  No alcohol either, not a complete deal breaker but with a bunch of kids yapping all night a stiff drink would have done wonder for my morale.  Just FYI.

Yeah, but that show also ruled because the backstage was on an indoor field... post-show security was so lax that we got to chill and watch Matthew Bellamy kick the crap out a soccer ball.

how many people can say they watched Matthew Bellamy play soccer?

Earl Harvin will be playing drums for Air on this tour again...his style on "La Femme D'Argent" is absolutely stunning. This is going to be a GREAT show.

Seems as though that 4/26 show will fall somewhere in the dc/baltimore area. I guess "dragon island, narnia" is their cute little way of saying "tba"
[/b]

nope, that's wishful thinking. no dc/baltimore in late april, but possible dc event in late spring/early summer, if things can be arranged. the bolt will NEVER play the 9:30 or black cat...it's gonna happen at a school or warehouse or somewhere completely unpredictable.
