Rollcall: Dead Meadow
« on: April 16, 2008, 04:07:00 pm »
Anyone in tonight?

I'm strongly considering...I haven't seen them in a year or so.  Still, I'm still fighting a bullshit cold, so that might keep me home.

I'm thinking about it.  Has anyone seen them live? Any good?  I am digging the new album.

I will be there.  I haven't seen them in 2-3 years, but they used to be very good and VERY LOUD.

She was awesome.

 Powerful, passionate, high-energy set.

Is anyone else surprised that Dead Meadow couldn't sell out the Black Cat backstage??

Fantastic and very intense.

I read that she's doing a Scarnella show with Nels Cline somewhere.

And there will be another US tour later (June/July)
and later in the fall opening for XIU XIU! (what a great combo).

Oh man...Lights played the Velvet last night?

That album of theirs that came out recently  on Twisted Nerve is like... the prettiest sounding thing ever.

I would've  skipped Autechre's boring opener and caught Lights if I had known that they'd been added to the bill.    :(
Are their voices live as angellic as they are on disc?

 Please book them again soon!
