One, are you sure B.T. sold over a million albums?  I'm skeptical....

And second, when was that?  Years ago, so I agree -- I wouldn't be surprised to find out they don't have a contract.  Though I'd be interested in hearing some new material...

i think i heard or read that they got dropped after their last record.  In fact, I think I read a quote from Bill Janovitz on their website saying that they got dropped, but i'm not positive about that.

It's been about 5 or 6 years since they put out an album (although they have had a couple of greatest hits thingies since then---maybe that would mean they didn't get dropped, but it seems sometimes bands that get dropped still have these sorts of things come out later).  Not surprising if they were dropped, the last album or two didn't sell that well and there are bigger groups that have gotten dropped in this age of consolidation.  I would think they would have had something out by now if they had had a record deal.

I think they might have sold a million albums total.  They were around for a while and had a couple of smaller hits.

BTW, Nance, last time I saw them was with the Big O at 930 Club and it featured the two of us singing a great rendition of "Tailights Fade" over the din of the crowd and the band---a great moment in 930 club history...

remember they have released 7 albums, so 1 million is not very impressive, the last proper album was smitten released in 98. the band members had abit of a falling out but things seem to have been smoothed over. they have done various projects. hopefully they can make time for a tour, they are all fathers and bill has a regular job.
