I heard that version for the first time a few weeks ago -- it is excellent.  Percy's Song has always been one of my favorite Dylan tunes.

fairport's version of "percy's song" is one of my most listened to songs. i have a few different copies on vinyl and they're all wearing out. easily one of the most beautiful, heartbreaking songs recorded...sandy denny and richard thompson's vocals, with the dulcimer and guitar playing, and the excellent drumming...just total perfection.

Roy Buchanan- Sign on the Window
 Cat Power- Paths of Victory
 The Byrds- My Back Pages
 The Ramones- My Back Pages
The Neville Brothers- With God on Our Side
William Shatner- Mr. Tambourine Man (!)
Waylon Jennings- Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
The Pogues- When the Ship Comes In
The Secret Machines- Girl From the North Country
Frank Black- Changing of the Guards
The Stooges- Ballad of Hollis Brown
Nina Simone- Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues
White Stripes- One More Cup of Coffee
 Neko Case- Buckets of Rain
Mel Gibson- Make You Feel My Love (!)

the 13th floor elevators version of "it's all over now, baby blue" is just devastatingly awesome. don't even bother making the comp if you don't put that on there, seriously. "i shall be released" by marion williams has always been a favorite. i think it was used in a recent nike/lebron ad campaign, actually. and while the nico version of "i'll keep it with mine" is excellent, i prefer the version by rainy day, that one-off paisley underground band from the '80s featuring susanna hoffs and others. their version of "i'll keep it with mine" is really, really gorgeous.
