Wanted to go - had GA PIT.  Friend backed out and ate the tickets.  Now going to NJ show.  Have a great time - should be fun.

slayer was awful, unless of course you like them in the first place. then you would probably of loved them.
 Manson of course was amazing.
 set list;
 If I Was Your Vampire
 Disposeable Teens
 mOBSCENE
 Are You The Rabbit?
 Sweet Dreams/Lunchbox
 Just A Car Crash Away
 Heart Shaped Glasses
 Rock Is Dead
 The Dope Show
 Putting Holes In Happiness
 The Fight Song
 The Love Song
 Antichrist Superstar
 The Beautiful People

it was great seeing him in a big place again, no one knows how to put on a big rock show better then him.
who paid the fine for them playing past columbia's curfew?

well, i found the underaged drinking humorous personally, but i take it as my civic duty to make an attempt to notify some strata of authoriety as to its existence.
as for the over crowded pit area, while i didnt see any injurys this time, it could happen next.
i remember when I saw NIN there with the same set up, and there was alot more room in the pit area, and that show sold much better then this one i believe.
so these are two public safety issues. i had a great time at the show. i loved the little side 930 club bar area that allowed me to escape slayers noise for the most part. its a great venue and im glad it still exists.

one of my most random concert-going memories was about 8 years ago when i was at a slayer show (don't ask) and there was a little old lady in the back making fruity frozen drinks with umbrellas in them.

 the juxtaposition was just amazing.

You don't like me? OMG! The value of my humanity has been judged and diminished over the internet by someone who has never met me because of a few short lines of text mocking his musical heroes.
AND he called me a tattletell!
Is your penis really that small that you have to be so overly sensitive?
And to think i had the biggest crush on you in the 5th grade. that's it, im not sniffing the old dirty underpants of yours i stole anymore.

manson was OK at best. didnt do anything off Portrait except HALF of lunchbox. i dont really care for his other albums much, so i didnt recognize most of the songs

oh and im pretty sure the 2nd to last song was not antichrist superstar, because thats a song i actually recognize and didnt hear it last night. dont think its on my recording either.

slayer destroyed, only played about 70 mins, but it was a pure thrash attack the entire time.

what might sound like a "pure thrash attack" for 70 minutes to you, came off as a long loud monotonous drone to me.
 and manson had bigger furnature.

And Skold looked like a fruit.

Thought the show last night was awesome. Slayer kicked major ass. Thought the Manson show could have been better, but still was good. Think I like his shows more in a club setting.

Or a festival setting, the over the topness, and general campyness translates well on a huge stage and a crowd dispersed laterally.  Seen him a couple of times this year like that and it killed.

I was a disappointed by the relative shortness of both sets, neither played much longer than their festival appearances and this was billed as co-headlining with "full" sets by both, could have thrown the opener away and add about 20-25 to each set would have been about right.

I've come around to MM, but it does come off looking like amateur hour after Slayer has played, album sales be damned Slayer is the legitimate article, the tour is novel idea but I'd prefer each on their own.

Another positive about festivals with MM is that you only get a handful of his "fans", it took me so long to listen to the music because I just couldn't come to terms with liking anything those kooks thought was good.
